Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Da Bac

07:00 Meet your guide at the designated pick-up point (53 Nguyen Dinh Thi Street) and board our comfortable vehicle to begin the journey to Da Bac. Along the way, we will make a brief stop to stretch your legs and relax at a local cafe near Hoa Binh City. Upon arrival in Hien Luong commune, Da Bac, we will check in to the welcoming Pacific House homestay and enjoy a delicious, authentic local lunch.

After a short rest, our expert guides will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and kayaking instructions. We will then launch our kayaks to explore the stunning, serene waters of Hien Luong Bay. To ensure everyone's comfort and enjoyment, a sightseeing boat is also available for guests who prefer a relaxing cruise instead of paddling. You will have ample free time to kayak, swim in the reservoir, and fully appreciate the natural scenery before returning to Pacific House.

In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner at the homestay. Following the meal, we will participate in a special cultural exchange program featuring traditional music and the famous bamboo dance (múa sạp) performed by the local villagers. Spend a peaceful night resting at the homestay.

Day 2: Da Bac – Hanoi

08:00 Start your morning with a refreshing breakfast at Pacific House. Today's adventure features a scenic trek deeper into the local village, leading us to a beautiful, natural stream hidden within the lush forest. Here, you can freely swim, play, and relax in the cool, clear water.

Afterward, we will trek back to Pacific House, where you will have time to pack your belongings and enjoy a fulfilling lunch. Following the meal, we will board our transfer vehicle for the smooth return journey to the capital. The tour officially concludes upon your safe arrival in Hanoi.

Difficulty of the activity

Difficulty Level (4/10): Most people can participate in the tour, including children. The activities are at the easy level; hence, we do not need physical preparation or experience. The duration of each trip is from 1-2 days generally. With those trekking tours at this level, it might take 1 – 2 hours/day to do the trek with the relatively easy terrain. At the same level, the kayaking and SUP tours, 2 – 3 hours/ days paddling with the large water surface, and plenty of times to take photos and rest as well. 

Suggested physical training: Physical training is not requested before the trip.

1. Travel insurance

● Umove Adventure uses service from Bảo Việt Insurance with a maximum insurance payout of 100 million VND/person/case.

● The customers who buy adventure tours from Umove Adventure have enough awareness about the level of challenge as well as other physical challenges and other potential dangers during the tour. 4. Notes on Kayaking Activities

● We will be kayaking in the narrow bay in front of the homestay. The distance and duration of the kayaking will be determined by the tour guide based on the weather and the health of the customers.  

Before starting, the guide will explain how to paddle and safety precautions. Customers must wear life jackets throughout the kayaking activity.  

While kayaking on the lake, customers should be mindful of avoiding obstacles such as branches, rocks, etc. Do not separate from the group or paddle outside the designated area.  

● We will have a motorboat escorting us throughout the kayaking. If you wish to stop kayaking to take the boat, please inform the guide.

5. Food & Beverages

● All meals on the tour will be at the homestay with a diverse menu that includes many "local specialties of the Muong ethnic group," such as grilled fish, grilled pork, sautéed vegetables, boiled vegetables, etc. If you have dietary restrictions or are vegetarian, please inform UA's management in advance to prepare suitable meals for you.  

● If you have special dietary requirements that we cannot accommodate (due to health, medical, or religious reasons), we suggest you prepare your own food to bring along.  

● Drinks will be adequately provided on the vehicle and during kayaking. Umove Adventure encourages customers to limit the use of single-use plastic and nylon products; therefore, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to refill from the large bottles we provide.  

● Alcoholic beverages are not permitted while kayaking on SUP or kayak or while trekking. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are not included in the meals.

6. Protecting the environment together

● Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace tại đây

● In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.

● On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination. 

7. Medical assistance

● If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip. 

● In any case, if you go into the water to swim, you must wear a life jacket.

 

Q&A
1. When is the best time to join this program?

You can visit Hoa Binh at any time. From April to October is the ideal time for SUP paddling and swimming activities, while from November to March, Hoa Binh becomes a perfect destination for relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

 

2. What age is suitable for children to join this tour?

Children ages 5 and up can participate  

 

3. I've never paddled a SUP/Kayak before, can I still join this tour?

The tour has a difficulty level of 4/10, so even those who have never paddled SUP before can still participate. Before you get into the water, the tour guide will instruct the group on basic paddling skills and safety skills when paddling SUP, visitors will have time to get used to SUP before paddling.

 

4. How much deposit do I need to make when booking? When is the remaining payment due?

When booking, customers need to deposit 50% of the total amount via bank transfer or card payment through Onepay. The remaining 50% should be paid no later than one day before the departure, also via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay.

UA will not confirm the booking until the deposit is received.

 

5. Can I postpone/cancel the tour before the departure date?

Depending on how far in advance you postpone or cancel the tour compared to the departure date, there may be a fee. If you want to reschedule the departure date or switch to a different tour, Umove Adventure will transfer your booking and may or may not charge a fee. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more details.

 

6. If I'm vegetarian (or have specific dietary restrictions), can the tour accommodate that?

You need to inform Umove Adventure of your dietary requirements when booking, and we will check whether the destination can meet those needs and let you know. Generally, Umove Adventure offers vegetarian options depending on the tour's location.

 

7. What camping gear will Umove Adventure provide on this tour?

8. Can I bring my pet (dog/cat) along?

Umove Adventure does not offer specific tours for guests with pets, so bringing a pet depends on the agreement of other passengers on the tour. If you want to bring your pet, Umove Adventure will ask for the consent of the group, and you will be fully responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring your pet's safety.

 

9. If I get too tired while paddling SUP/kayak, can I stop?

If you're too tired to continue paddling, inform the guide or support boat immediately for assistance. Most Umove Adventure tours have a support motorboat. If you're exhausted, you can board the motorboat and follow the rest of the group for the remainder of the tour.

 

10. Can I join the tour if I can't swim?

Yes, you can participate even if you can't swim, as long as you strictly follow the guide's safety instructions. Anyone paddling SUP and wanting to swim must wear a life jacket and secure the leash.
