                  Release of Liability Form.

4. Notes on kayaking & trekking route

● The trek through the forest is not too difficult with 2/3 of the way being easy trails. 1/3 of the way, before reaching Viet Hai, the road is more difficult with some places having to be climbed by hand.

● Our kayaking spot is in the Dark and Bright Cave areas. Due to the regulations of Lan Ha Bay Management Board, we will only kayak to explore Bright Cave. This SUP paddling spot has calm water and a short paddling distance, so it is not difficult for those with little experience or first-time kayaking.

● Before starting kayaking, the tour guide will instruct you on how to paddle and what to note about safety and the route. When paddling in the bay, you need to pay attention to avoid obstacles such as reefs, boats in the bay... Do not paddle close to the cliffs if there are waves because the waves can push you into cliffs with many sharp barnacles.

● We will have a boat escort throughout the entire boat trip. In case you want to stop boating to go by boat, please inform the tour guide.

5. Food & Drinks

● Except for the picnic lunch in the forest, which is a light packed meal including sandwiches, fruits, and dessert pastries, all other meals are served hot and are full-course.

Drinking water during the trek should be carried individually (approximately 1 liter per person). To help reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles, we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle to refill from the large water container provided on the bus.

6. Protecting the environment together

● Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace tại đây

● In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.

● On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.

7. Medical assistance

● If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip.

● In any case, if you go into the water to swim, you must wear a life jacket.

Hỏi & đáp về tour
1. When is the best time to join this program?

Summer is the most ideal time to visit Cat Ba. The best months for water activities are from April to October. From November to March, the island is quieter, but it's the perfect time for nature exploration and relaxation. July and August are typically stormy months, so visitors should check the weather forecast three to five days in advance to ensure there are no storms.

2. What age is suitable for children to join this tour?

UA does not recommend children to join this tour because of its high difficulty level, however, children over 12 years old who have previous experience participating in adventure tours can register to join with adults.

3. I've never paddled a SUP/Kayak before, can I still join this tour?

Tour with difficulty level 7/10 requires you to have experience with other SUP tours with lower level, or have completed basic SUP training courses to be able to join the tour.

4. How much deposit do I need to make when booking? When is the remaining payment due?

When booking, customers need to deposit 50% of the total amount via bank transfer or card payment through Onepay. The remaining 50% should be paid no later than one day before the departure, also via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay.

UA will not confirm the booking until the deposit is received.

5. Can I postpone/cancel the tour before the departure date?

Depending on how far in advance you postpone or cancel the tour compared to the departure date, there may be a fee. If you want to reschedule the departure date or switch to a different tour, Umove Adventure will transfer your booking and may or may not charge a fee. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more details.

6. If I'm vegetarian (or have specific dietary restrictions), can the tour accommodate that?

You need to inform Umove Adventure of your dietary requirements when booking, and we will check whether the destination can meet those needs and let you know. Generally, Umove Adventure offers vegetarian options depending on the tour's location.

7. What camping gear will Umove Adventure provide on this tour?

Please refer to the "Equipment" section in the tour details for more information.

8. Can I bring my pet (dog/cat) along?

Umove Adventure does not offer specific tours for guests with pets, so bringing a pet depends on the agreement of other passengers on the tour. If you want to bring your pet, Umove Adventure will ask for the consent of the group, and you will be fully responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring your pet's safety.

9. If I get too tired while paddling SUP/kayak, can I stop?

If you're too tired to continue paddling, inform the guide or support boat immediately for assistance. Most Umove Adventure tours have a support motorboat. If you're exhausted, you can board the motorboat and follow the rest of the group for the remainder of the tour.

10. Can I join the tour if I can't swim?

Yes, you can participate even if you can't swim, as long as you strictly follow the guide's safety instructions. Anyone paddling SUP and wanting to swim must wear a life jacket and secure the leash.

11. Is it guaranteed to see the bioluminescence 100%?

Although the chance of seeing bioluminescence from April to September is very high (over 80%), there are some natural factors that can affect the quality of the experience. Bioluminescence is caused by plankton (usually algae) that glow when the water is disturbed. The denser the plankton, the stronger and brighter the bioluminescent effect, and the darker the surroundings, the more vivid the glow. However, certain natural conditions such as rain (or if it has just rained) or a very bright moon can reduce the amount of plankton in the seawater or make the sky too bright, which may affect the quality of the bioluminescence viewing experience.

That said, with an over 80% chance of seeing bioluminescence during this period, the phenomenon is usually visible.

12. Can I join this tour if I’m traveling alone?

Yes, this is a group tour, so you can definitely join on your own. However, the tour requires a minimum of 5 participants to depart. If the minimum number is not met, UA will notify you at least one week in advance so you can choose to either reschedule to another departure date or receive a full refund of your deposit.
