Itinerary
Day 1: Ha Noi - Thung Nai - Ngoi Hoa - Bakhan Village Glamping

06:30: Meet a tour guide at the meeting point, and get on a bus to Thung Nai, Hoa Binh. We will have breakfast and have a break at a resting point near Hoa Binh City. Come to Hoa Ngoi boat station, from here we will start paddling to the inside of Ngoi Hoa Bay. After around 2 hours of paddling, we will reach the ending point of Ngoi Hoa Bay where we will have lunch on the boat. After lunch, our boat will travel to a walking point and go to Mat Rong Lake which is a lake with clean and clear water, and hiding inside the mountain ranges close to Ngoi Hoa Village. Walking into the lake by following the trail. We will have time to swim, and enjoy the lake. Go to Ngoi Hoa Village after getting on the boat at the boat station, and get on the bus to Bakhan Village Glamping which has a gorgeous view and sufficient facilities. Swim at a swimming pool, rest, and have dinner at a restaurant in a glamping area. Sleep at the glamorous campsite.

*If the weather is not suitable (cold or rainy), the swimming activity at Mat Rong Lake will not happen, instead, we will go back to the glamorous campsite earlier to have more time to rest.

Day 2: Bakhan Village Glamping - Ha Noi

07:30: Breakfast at the glamorous campsite. After that, we will walk to explore the peaceful villages of Muong People in the Bakhan Valley. The last point of this trek is a low peak where we can see the Bakhan Valley’s overview in 360 degrees; besides the spacious and speculature of Hoa Binh lake. Return to Glamping to check out, shower, take photos, and have lunch at a restaurant before getting on the bus back to Ha Noi. Finish the program once we reach Ha Noi.

Difficulty of the activity

Difficulty Level (5/10) Most people can participate in the tour, children from 6 years old and above also can join with parents. It will be easier and more comfortable for you to experience outdoor activities if you have good preparation for physical training before the trip. The duration of each trip is generally 2 days. With those trekking tours at this level, it might take 2 – 3 hours/day to do the trek with the relatively easy terrain. At the same level, the kayaking and SUP tours, 2 – 3 hours/ days paddling with the large water surface, and plenty of times to take photos and rest as well.

Suggested physical training: Practice running or kayaking/SUP 1 - 2 weeks in advance. Run twice a week, each session 3 - 5km every night. Or paddling from 2- 3 times, each time is 5 km.

The customers who buy adventure tours from Umove Adventure have enough awareness about the level of challenge as well as other physical challenges and other potential dangers during the tour.   1.     Kayaking & SUP paddling Notes.
  • On the first day morning, We will start to paddle around 4km in Ngoi Hoa. Depending on the time of year, we can paddle either the same or the opposite of the wind direction. However, this is a close Bay and narrow, which makes the water surface calm.
  • Before paddling, the tour guide will instruct us on the kayaking techniques and safety notes along with the timeline. You need to wear a life jacket and a leash, for those who have first experience in SUP paddling should not stand right on the SUP from the starting point. After starting around 1 km - 2 km, when you feel more confident with the water, you can start standing to paddle.
  • When paddling, you need to avoid places with obstacles like branches, and rocks. Paddle close to the shore and keep an eye on the ship that is moving on the lake.
  • We will have the boat accompany us during the paddling period. In case, you want to stop paddling to use the boat, please inform the tour guide.
  •  If you can swim and are good at paddling, you can take off your life jacket and tie it on SUP but do not remove the leg straps totally.
  • On the second day, we will hike for around 20-25 minutes following a small path through the villages. The trail is not difficult but we have to wear sports shoes or sports sandals (flip-flops are not allowed).
  1. Food and drink
  • All the meals are served on a boat and at the glamorous campsite there is a variety of food and local food of Muong people such as grilled fish, pork, stir-fried or steamed vegetables,...Breakfast might be chicken porridge or vegetables, and eggs instant noodles.
  • If you are on a diet or vegetarian, you need to inform Umove Adventure’s organizing department to prepare appropriate food for you. In case, you have a special need for food that we cannot meet your need (cause of health, medical, religion, …) We highly recommend you prepare your own food.
  • Drinking water is supplied on a bus and paddling time. Umove Adventure encourages customers to limit the use of single-use plastic and nylon products, so we recommend that you bring a water bottle (reusable type) to refill water from the large drum provided by us.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed during  SUP, kayak, or trek. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included in the meals.
  1.   Protecting the environment together 
  • Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply the Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace session here
  • In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
  • On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.
  1.     Medical alert
  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should visit your doctor before deciding to join the trip. A basic first-aid bag will be carried by the tour guide. If you have health problems that require preventive medicine, please prepare for your own.
  • In any case, if you swim, you have to wear a life jacket.
