Bach Moc Luong Tu is one of the mountains that belong to the Ky Quan San mountain ranges in the middle of Sin Suoi Ho Community (Phong Tho, Lai Chau), and Sang Ma Sao (Bat Xat, Lao Cai). Bach Moc Luong Tu is 1 of the 5 highest mountains in Viet Nam, The dream destination for most of trekkers. This trekking is quite challenging because of the height, and the terrain; however, it is a priceless gift for those people who complete Bach Ma Luong Tu. There is the most beautiful sea of clouds in the North West region and the scenery is like a paradise.

Itinerary
The 1st night: Ha Noi - Sapa (The compound tour departs every Friday)

22:00: Attend at a bus office. We will transport to Sapa by sleeping bus. After around 45 to 50 minutes of departure, the bus will pick up those people registered at the Noi Bai Airport.

*Dinner is excluded from the program

Day 1: Sa Pa - Sang Ma Sao - Nui Muoi

05:00: At Sapa, we exercise to get familiar with the weather in the highland region. Move to the breakfast spot to eat and do the hygiene. You can store your unnecessary stuff while hiking such as clean clothes to change.

07:00: Get on the bus transport to a starting point at Ky Quan San Village (Sang Ma Sao Community), far from SaPa around 60km. On the way, we will enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains and the beautiful shape of the passes.

09:00: Reaching Ky Quan San, meeting the Porter team (H’Mong People). Start the expedition to conquer Bach Moc Luong Tu Summit.

12:00: Have lunch and take a rest at the stop point along the way, charging energy for the afternoon trip. 

17:30: We get to a Shack at 2100m, at the same time, the sun is going down. Store our stuff, and personal hygiene, and take a rest after the first day of the trip. Meanwhile waiting for dinner, we can help the Porter team to cook or take a walk around the Shack to see the sunset.

18:30: Dinner and talk to each other around the fire. If the weather is nice, we could contemplate stargazing in the peaceful space of the jungle. Night sleeping at Wooden Shack.

Day 2: A Shack night sleep - Lao Than Peak 2965m - Y Ty- Ha Noi

05:00: Get up early to have breakfast along with enjoying coffee, and hot ginger tea.

07:00: Start to hike to the last section to reach Bach Moc Luong Tu Peak. We will leave our stuff at a Shack, just carry essential ones to the Peak. On the way, we will pass over the most beautiful cloud view spot of the trip at 2800m of height.

12:00: Reach the Peak of Bach Ma Luong Tu, rest, take photos, and contemplate the scenery at the top. After lunch on the Peak, we will back to Shack Point to sleep.

17:00: At the Shack. Like the previous noon, we can take a rest help the Porter team cook a dinner, or take a walk to see the sunset around the Shack.

18:30: Dinner, and talk to each other beside the fire stove. Sleep in a Wooden Shack.

Day 3: A Shack night sleep - Sa Pa - Ha Noi

05:00: Get up early to have breakfast and welcome dawn.

07:30: Sightseeing an amazing sea of clouds in Muoi Mountain

08:00: We pack our personal items, and start to go downhill, back to the starting point at Ky Quan San Village.

16:00: At Sa Pa, we will shower with herbal from the Dao People, immerse ourselves in warm water, and relax after the challenging trip to conquer Bach Ma Luong Tu.

19:00: Dinner at a local restaurant with special foods in Sa Pa. Cheer up with the Tao Meo Wine to congrats our successful trip.

23:00: Get on the sleeping bus to back to Ha Noi. Around 04:30 a.m. the next day at My Dinh bus station. Finish the program.

Difficulty of the activity

Difficulty Level (8/10): Good physical skills are a requirement, as well as experience in outdoor activities. This level is not for children. The duration of each trip is from 2  - 4 days with a basic of eating, and sleeping condition. Accommodation is camping. Trekking time might take 5 – 6 hours/day to do the trek with the difficult terrain, slopes, and high elevation. The kayaking and SUP tours might take from 6 – 7 hours/day of paddling.

Suggested physical training: Practice running or kayaking/SUP 2 weeks in advance. Run 2 - 3 times a week, each session 5km. Or paddling from 2- 3 times, each time is 5 - 7 km.

  1. Trekking Notes: 
  • This is a long day of trekking and one of the 10 peaks has the most challenging terrain in Viet Nam. If you have no experience in trekking or physical training, you should prepare well for exercise before the trip ( refer to the Suggestion about the physical training part).
  • Umove Adventure encourages you to bring a 10L backpack with under 2kg weight of necessary stuff during trekking such as a wallet, phone, and drinking water. Personal items like clothes and drinking water for every day, food for mountain meals, etc. Porter will carry them.
  1. Sleep on the mountain
  • We will sleep at a wooden shack on the mountain for 2 nights. There is a washroom, and bathroom here. An inflatable mattress, an insulated mat, and a sleeping bag or a blanket will be provided for sleeping.
  1. Food & Drinks:
  • Meals at the mountain are hot and served by the Porter team. Breakfast is fried rice, instant noodles, or crepe cake. Lunch is an available food which is prepared in advance.
  • Drinking water will be taken from the stream by the Porter team and then boiled to sanitize. The participants should bring a water bottle to refill water every day.
  • At the sleeping spot after each meal, hot tea and coffee are served.
  1.   Medical alert
  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should visit your doctor before deciding to join the trip.
  • A basic first-aid bag will be carried by tour guides. If you have health problems that require preventive medicine, please prepare for your own.
