Hoang Su Phi brings the beauty of the dream and surrealism of the terraced fields which spread out wide and far in the mountain, river, and stream frame.

Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Tuyen Quang - Thong Nguyen - Nam Hong

08:00: A bus and a tour guide pick up the customers at a meeting point in Ha Noi, departing to Thong Nguyen.

11:30: Have lunch at Ham Yen - Tuyen Quang. Afterward, continue transport to Thong Nguyen.

15:00: At Thong Nguyen Commnunity. Get off the bus, and walk to Nam Hong Village (3km), We will visit the Dao Do People, and see the sights of terraced fields in the village on the way.

16:00: Reach Nam Hong Villag, check in the room at HSP Bungalow, and rest or shower at the nice stream in this Village.

Day 2: Nam Hong - Nam Ai

08:30: The group moves on to exploring to contemplate those terraced fields covering the mountain slopes from the top-down looking view in Khoa Trung Village.

11:30: At Kho Trung, Having lunch inside the Village.

15:00: Cross over the Nam Ai heaven gate. At Nam Ai, we will sleep over at the Dao People’s stilt house in Nam Son Community. Dinner and stay at the homestay

*Accommodation: Dormitory at the stilt house

 

Day 3: Nam Ai - Tan Quang - Ha Noi

07:30: Breakfast at the homestay. After breakfast, we will walk a few kilometers to enjoy the view of terraced fields.

09:00: Get on the bus transport back to Ha Noi. Lunch at Tan Quang

19:00: Finish the program when coming to Ha Noi.

Difficulty of the activity

Difficulty Level (5/10): Most people can participate in the tour, children from 6 years old and above also can join with parents. It will be easier and more comfortable for you to experience outdoor activities if you have good preparation for physical training before the trip. The duration of each trip is 2 days generally. With those trekking tours at this level, it might take 2 – 3 hours/day to do the trek with the quite easy terrain. At the same level, the kayaking and SUP tours, 2 – 3 hours/ days paddling with the large water surface, and plenty of times to take photos and rest as well.

Suggested physical training: Practice running or kayaking/SUP 1 - 2 weeks in advance. Run twice a week, each session 3 - 5km every night. Or paddling from 2- 3 times, each time is 5 km.

  1.     TrekkingNotes.
  • Our trekking route won’t be height challenging although we have to climb on small slopes. Most of the time, we will hike on the paths that are connected from one village to another. For a few sessions, we will hike through the forest but not too much overgrown. The path is not difficult, but wearing trekking shoes or trail running shoes is a requirement. Sandals for trekking are acceptable (Keen brand). The duration for trekking is around 5-6 hours including resting time.
  1. Food and drink
  • All meals are on a tour with a variety of food; moreover, with local cuisine. If you are vegetarian or dieting, please inform the UA executive department in advance to prepare an appropriate meal for you. In case, you have a special food requirement that we could not meet your need (cause of health, medication, religion, etc.). We suggest you bring your own food.
  • Drinking water will be provided on a bus. Umove Adventure encourages customers to limit the use of single-use plastic and nylon products, so we recommend that you bring a water bottle (reusable type) to refill water from the large drum provided by us.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed during trekking. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included in the meals.
  1. Protecting the environment together 
  • Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply the Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace session here
  • In order to limit the use of single-use plastic bottles, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
  • On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.
  1.     Medical alert
  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip.
  • A tour guide just brings a basic first aid kit bag. If you have health problems that require preventive medicine, please prepare for your own.
