  1.     Kayaking & Trekking Notes.
  • The trekking tour through the forest is not too difficult, ⅔ of the route is an easy walking path, and ⅓ of the rest is harder, hands climbing is a requirement at some parts before reaching Viet Hai.
  • The kayaking time is decided by the tour guide based on the weather, time, and the members’ health in the group. The last destination is Ba Trai Dao Bay which is the furthest point in Lan Ha Bay. Inside Lan Ha Bay is the calm water surface; by contrast, when getting closer to Ba Trai Dao we will get over the large sea with waves. The tour guide has the guidance to help us paddle safely.
  • Before paddling, the tour guide will instruct us on the kayaking techniques and safety notes along with the timeline. You need to wear a life jacket.
  • When paddling, you need to avoid places with strong water flow or hindrances like rocks, and the ships in Bay. Do not paddle close to the rock cliff if there is a chance for the waves to push you to the cliff which has sharp oysters.
  • We will have the boat accompany us during the paddling period. In case, you want to stop paddling to use the boat, please inform the tour guide.
  1. Food and drink
  • Lunch is served at a homestay at Viet Hai Village. A meal is hot with a variety of food. If you are on a diet or vegetarian, you need to inform Umove Adventure when filling in the customer information form.
  • Umove Adventure supplies each participant with 2L of water. To contribute to limiting the use of single-use plastic we recommend that you bring a water bottle (reusable type) to refill water from the large drum provided by us on the bus and the boat.
  1. Protecting the environment together
  • Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply the Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace session here
  • In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
  • On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.
  1.     Medical alert
  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should visit your doctor before deciding to join the trip. A basic first-aid bag will be carried by the tour guide. If you have health problems that require preventive medicine, please prepare for your own.
  • In any case, if you swim, you have to wear a life jacket.
