I’ve never tried SUP or kayaking before. Can I still join a SUP/kayak tour?
Yes, even if you’ve never tried SUP or kayaking before, you can still join our SUP/kayak tours. Most tours rated from Easy to Moderate (3/10 – 6/10) are suitable for beginners. Before paddling, our tour guide will instruct you on basic SUP paddling techniques and safety. Usually, after just 15 minutes of practice, most beginners can paddle comfortably and with confidence.
-
I can’t swim. Is it dangerous to join a water sports tour? What happens if I fall into the water?
Non-swimmers can still join Easy to Moderate level tours (3/10 – 6/10). Umove Adventure provides life jackets and SUP ankle leashes for safety. You’ll also be guided on how to use the gear properly. Our guides will explain all safety rules before you paddle to ensure a safe experience.
-
I plan to bring my phone, camera, and a power bank. How can I keep them safe during the tour?
Umove Adventure provides 10L–20L dry bags for your electronics. However, if you want to take pictures while paddling, you should bring your own waterproof phone pouch (preferably one with touch screen functionality and a neck strap).
-
Will there be phone signal or 4G at the campsites during the tour?
Not all tour locations have phone signal, as most campsites are in remote areas. You should check with our tour consultants when registering.
-
What if the weather is bad and camping becomes impossible? (e.g., Ba Be Lake / Paradise Cape)
If bad weather occurs before departure or before reaching the campsite, Umove Adventure will arrange alternative accommodation such as a homestay or hotel depending on local availability. If bad weather occurs during the night while camping, we will assess the situation and make appropriate arrangements to ensure your safety.
-
What if I don’t want to paddle on a SUP? Can I choose other equipment instead?
Some tours offer both SUP and kayak options. You can choose either one if available. If kayaks aren’t available at the tour location, you can sit and paddle your SUP like a kayak. We can provide you with a kayak paddle to do so comfortably.
-
Can I request a private tent while camping?
Depending on the number of participants and private tent requests at the time of booking, we may be able to provide a private tent either for free or with a single surcharge.
-
I have a group of 6 people (the minimum for a group tour). Can we have a private tour at the group rate?
Group tours require a minimum of 6 participants (some tours 5). If 6 people book, the tour is guaranteed to depart. However, additional bookings may be accepted up to the maximum capacity. All group tour participants pay the same rate. If your group of 6 wants a private tour with no additional guests, it will be considered a private tour, and pricing will be based on your group size, which may be higher than the group rate.
-
What happens if the tour doesn't meet the minimum number of participants? Can I get my deposit back?
You can choose between two options:
Get a full refund of your deposit
Have Umove Adventure retain your deposit for another tour (with no expiry date)
-
Can children aged 6–10 join Umove Adventure tours?
Most SUP tours are family-friendly and suitable for children, provided the child shares a SUP (or kayak) with a parent. For trekking tours, it depends on the difficulty level, terrain, and the child’s physical ability. Our consultants will advise you based on each specific case.
-
Are participants insured during Umove Adventure tours? Which insurance company is used and what is the coverage?
Yes, all tours include insurance coverage. We use BIC Insurance (a subsidiary of BIDV Bank), with coverage up to 50,000,000 VND per person.

I booked a group tour but prefer to drive myself. Is that allowed?
For some tours, you may drive yourself to the starting point. For others, this isn’t practical—for example, tours that start and end at different locations. If your tour ends somewhere other than the starting point, self-driving won’t be feasible.
If self-driving is allowed, we may deduct the transportation cost from your tour price, but this must be confirmed when you register. If you switch to self-driving after booking, no discount will be given.
