2. Kayaking & SUP Paddling Notes:
During the tour, on the first day, we will commence paddling from Thung Nai to Vach Da Trang in Ngoi Hoa, covering a distance of 4km. On the second day, we will paddle approximately 6km in Hoa Ngoi Bay. Depending on the season, we may paddle in the same or opposite direction of the wind.
Before paddling, the tour guide will provide instructions on kayaking techniques and safety precautions, including the timeline. Participants are required to wear a life jacket and leash. Those with limited experience in SUP paddling should avoid standing upright on the SUP board from the beginning. After covering around 1-2km and gaining confidence, participants can transition to standing paddling.
During paddling, participants should steer clear of obstacles such as branches and rocks, staying close to the shore and remaining vigilant of passing vessels. A support boat will accompany us throughout the paddling period. If participants wish to cease paddling and utilize the support boat, please inform the tour guide.
Strong swimmers proficient in paddling may choose to remove their life jackets and attach them to the SUP, but leg straps should remain intact.
If the itinerary includes Mat Rong Lake, a 20-25 minute hike along a mountain path is required. Although not challenging, participants must wear appropriate footwear such as sports shoes or sandals (flip-flops are not permitted).
3. Homestay:
Accommodation will be provided in a traditional stilt house belonging to a Muong family in Ngoi Hoa Village. Each participant will have a private mattress, blanket, and mosquito net.
Food and Beverage:
Lunch will be served either on a boat or at the homestay, featuring a variety of local Muong cuisine such as grilled fish, pork, and steamed vegetables. Special dietary requirements should be communicated to Umove Adventure's organizing department in advance for suitable meal arrangements.
Drinking water will be available on the bus and boat. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles to refill from large drums provided by Umove Adventure, as single-use plastic consumption is discouraged. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited during SUP, kayaking, or trekking activities and are not included in meals.
4. Environmental Conservation:
Umove Adventure advocates for and implements Leave No Trace principles in all programs and outdoor activities. Customers are encouraged to adhere to Leave No Trace principles during their outdoor travels.
To reduce single-use plastic usage, each participant should bring a 1L capacity water bottle for daily refills.
During the tour, participants are expected to follow environmental protection instructions and regulations at the destination.
