Mount Samu - U Bo (commonly referred to as Mount Samu) is one of the three peaks located within the Devil's Triangle area (as called by the locals), situated in the specialized forest of Ta Xua. The mountain peak stands at an elevation of 2756 meters and lies on the border between Yen Bai and Son La provinces. During March and April each year, this place becomes the kingdom of exotic flowers and plants amidst the primeval forest, exuding a mystical and enchanting atmosphere, leaving many longing to witness this breathtaking scenery with their own eyes.
There are several trekking routes to conquer Mount Samu, but the easiest and most scenic route starts from Hang Dong in Bac Yen, Son La, leading to the summit of Samu and then returning to Hang Dong. This route is not rigid in terms of time, allowing trekkers ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the incredibly mystical beauty of nature here.
