4. Notes on the SUP/kayak paddling and trekking routes
● On the day of SUP/kayak paddling, we will start from the boat dock and paddle towards Khâu Vai Canyon, covering a distance of approximately 2.5 km.
● Before starting, the guide will provide instructions on paddling techniques as well as safety guidelines and route information. You must wear a life jacket and a leash. For first-time SUP paddlers, it’s recommended not to stand on the SUP right from the start. After paddling for about 1-2 km, if you feel more comfortable and confident with the water, you can then begin to stand while paddling.
● While paddling on the lake, please be cautious of obstacles like tree branches or rocks. Stay close to the shore and watch out for motorboats on the lake.
● A motorboat will support us throughout the paddling time. In case you prefer to use the motorboat instead of paddling, please inform the guide.
● Note: If you know how to swim and have experience paddling, you may remove the life jacket and secure it on the SUP, but never remove the leash.
● On the third day, we will trek approximately 5-6 km along the Cliff of the Gods. This trekking route is quite easy and offers some of the most magnificent views in Vietnam. The path is not difficult, but you must wear sports shoes or sport sandals (flip-flops are not allowed).
5. Food & drinks
● The meals on the tour are quite diverse and feature many “local specialties.” If you have any dietary restrictions or follow a vegetarian diet, please inform the UA tour operator in advance so that suitable meals can be prepared for you. In cases where we cannot meet special dietary requests (for health, medical, religious reasons, etc.), we suggest that you bring your own food.
● Drinking water will be provided sufficiently on the vehicle and during the paddling session. Umove Adventure encourages customers to minimize the use of single-use plastic and nylon products, so we recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle to fill from the large water containers we provide.
● Alcoholic beverages are not allowed while paddling SUP/kayak or trekking. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are not included in the meals.
6. Protecting the environment together
● Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace tại đây
● In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
● On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.
7. Medical assistance
● If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip.
● The tour guide will carry a basic first aid kit. If you have any medical problems that require medication, you should bring your own medication.
