Although the trail is not technically difficult, participants must wear sports shoes or secure trekking sandals. Flip-flops are not permitted.

Q&A
When is the best time to visit Ha Giang?

Ha Giang is attractive throughout the year. Peach and plum blossoms appear around Lunar New Year; buckwheat flowers commonly bloom from October to December; red silk-cotton flowers appear around March; and mustard flowers bloom in winter. The warmer period from April to September is particularly suitable for SUP and kayaking on the Nho Que River.

What is the minimum age?

Umove Adventure recommends this program for children aged 10 and above when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

Can I join as a solo traveller?

Yes. Solo travellers may join. The FAQ on the source page states that eight participants are required for a departure, although the tour snapshot lists a minimum of five. Confirmation is therefore subject to the final operating group size.

What deposit is required?

A 50% deposit is required at booking by bank transfer or card through OnePay. The remaining 50% must be paid no later than one day before departure. A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Can I request a single tent?

Solo guests are normally paired with another guest of the same gender. A private tent may be provided without charge when available; if an additional tent must be hired, a supplement may apply and will be advised at booking.
