Q&A
What is the best time to join this program?

The Red River offers a different paddling experience in every season and is a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset throughout the year.

In spring, the riverbanks come alive with the atmosphere of Tet and the familiar scents of the surrounding countryside. From April to October, warmer weather and long daylight hours make this an enjoyable period for SUP paddling, with open views across the river and its alluvial plains.

From around October, the riverside reed fields gradually turn white, creating one of the most beautiful scenes of the year. On calm days, you can paddle alongside the swaying white reeds as the late-afternoon sun sets over the Red River — a peaceful and memorable way to experience a very different side of Hanoi.

What is the minimum age for children to join this tour?

Children must be at least 14 years old to paddle a SUP or kayak independently. Children aged 8 and above may join the activity by sharing a kayak or SUP with a parent or responsible adult.

All children must wear a properly fitted life jacket at all times while on the water and follow the tour guide’s safety instructions throughout the activity.

Can I join this tour if I have never paddled a SUP/kayak before?
